阿拉巴馬州中區華僑協會（CAAC）感謝所有董事成員，志願者，會員和各界朋友們四十餘年的大力支持和無私奉獻，沒有你們，就沒有CAAC在美國南方的持續存在和今天的繁榮。
四十餘年，我們一同走來，求同存異，取長補短，開拓進取，不斷發展，一起在這個美、麗、堅的國度留下了自己美麗且堅韌的軌跡。
如同房舍的存在一般，不論主人在何方，家是房舍存在的理由。這過去的四十餘載裡，多少政治，經濟和社會的起起落落，周折與變遷，多少成員的來來去去，加入和別離，CAAC作為本地炎黃後裔及友好人士們的家,還在這裡。她興盛不衰的存在，使我們不得不感嘆於那種種有關中華文明為何經久不衰的雄辯，因為我們和CAAC一起就正在這個歷史中書寫著歷史…..
您知道嗎？ CAAC成立於1982年，曾用名CACA，是Central Alabama Chinese Association 的縮寫; 您還知道嗎？ CAAC的第一份固定刊物 The CACA Monthly 首期出版在1988年6月，雖是一份半手抄本，但其中的內容至今讀來還不乏濃濃的中華味和甜甜的鄰裡情。
The Chinese Association of Central Alabama (CAAC) extends its deepest gratitude to all board members, volunteers, general members, and friends from all walks of life for over forty years of unwavering support and selfless dedication. Without you, the CAAC would not enjoy its continued presence in the American South—nor its current prosperity.
For over four decades, we have journeyed together—seeking common ground while respecting our differences, drawing upon one another’s strengths, and forging ahead with pioneering spirit. Together, in this beautiful and resilient nation, we have left behind a legacy marked by both beauty and fortitude.
Much like a physical dwelling, a home exists for a singular purpose: its inhabitants—regardless of where they may roam. Throughout these past forty-plus years—amidst countless political, economic, and social upheavals, twists, and transformations; and through the comings and goings of so many members—the CAAC has remained steadfastly here, serving as a true home for local descendants of the Chinese diaspora and our friends. Its enduring vitality compels us to reflect upon the profound reasons behind the timeless resilience of Chinese civilization—for, together with the CAAC, we are actively writing history within the very unfolding of history itself.
Did you know? The CAAC was founded in 1982, originally operating under the name CACA—an acronym for the Central Alabama Chinese Association. And did you also know? The CAAC’s first regular publication, *The CACA Monthly*, debuted in June 1988. Although its inaugural issue was largely handwritten, its contents—even when read today—remain imbued with a rich sense of Chinese heritage and the sweet warmth of neighborly affection.
